Performance upgrade - HTCC setup for a 95 cu.in.
« on: September 29, 2007, 08:37:29 AM »

I"m ready to upgrade my 95 cu.in. SERG. Has anyone used the Mo Co HTCC heads and pistons with a gear drive cam system (S&S or Andrews) on a 2001 bike with the M&M (Magnetti-Merrelli) fuel injection system?

Thanks

This is the heads that will work with your jugs and pistons ( HARLEY SCREAMIN EAGLE PRO T.C.HEADS(silver)16953-99C ). A cam change is a good thing, 211 and up. Gear drives are good too, but the new style shoes are a vast improvement over the 01 stock ones.

Just my thoughts.  8)

I almost went with HTTC heads/pistons on my 95" WG3 , but the wrench told me if they weren't the CNC ported ones , to go with the SE perf heads as they provided more consistent results. I dod go with Andrews cams with the S&S gear drive .  With the compression the HTTC runs the 32G would be a worth choice.  I ran the 31G (.510 lift) , and with SE II slipons managed 98hp /101 lbs ft. The 32 is a .570 lift and per Andrews provides a 20% increase across the band , that would be some serious grunt for your RG.

Scooterhair and Nidan,

Thanks for the info. I was leaning towards the SE Performance Heads. My Mech suggests S&S 510 gear setup with SE Performance Heads. He said great torque from 2000-5000 rpm.

The HTCC non ported head can be a issue with ign ping, They need to have the squish dead on or they like to ping, as well the MM system would need to be tuned again spot on. I would go with the SE performer head over the HTCC any day of the week.
