My buddie  stock springer with Amsoil is runing 15 to 20 degrees cooler than my bike with sert K&N open breather and V&H pro pipe. We rode about 150 miles today and at every stop he was cooler than me ,we changed temp oil dipstick to see if that was the problem but no I am still hooooter  why is this???????

My first reaction would be your tuner made you too lean with the sert, did not compensate for the extra air and air flow, or did not map it correctly. Assuming the dealer DID tune it that is, rather than just installing it. More details would help too.

My stock 110 SERK runs about 25 degrees cooler than my neighbor's 110 conversion Road Glide and he has Reinharts and a SERT.  His doesn't have an oil cooler, but mine has never run as hot as people are reporting.  234 is the highest I've ever seen (or at least saw until the temp gauge fell of its perch a week or so ago).

I am running 28 degrees cooler with SERT, V&H Big Shots, K&N air cleaner & Mobil 1. I would still like to find an oil cooler for stop & go traffic in the summer. I figure I can add a small t-stat activated fan to pull air across it. Anyone know where I may find an oil cooler? I've looked on line & called around, 07 Dyna seems to be a bastard child... :nixweiss:

You could setup a high volume computer fan with switch etc.. Also, check out the Jagg oil cooling system. Had one on my RK and it worked very well and looked great. The install was very easy also.

Thanks John! I've been looking at the Jaggs, and it may work if I modify the mounting to go between the down tubes. I had all ready pulled a fan from a cumputer & checked the flow, seems like it'll work good.
