I bought the alarm pager a couple weeks back and was having problems with getting it to marry with the alarm.

Dropped the bike off yesterday at the stealer to get my SERT and pipes installed. I asked them to look into why the pager wouldn't work.

It turns out the the SE ship with the Smart Siren I from the factory. The pager needs the version II, in order to pick up the signal.

Why the HECK didn't the MOCO install the latest version!!!  I had to shell out more money to get the version II module installed so that the pager will work.

I thought that this was their premiere line, why are they not putting the latest stuff on the bikes!!!

They were not on the 06 models either so (HD) found another way to get more $$ after you thought you were all in.

You obviously don't understand the privilege the MoCo allows when it prepositions future accessory upgrades in to the product.  They allow the opportunity to spend more money with them and we are supposed to thank them for that forethought.  Really, just ask 'em.

The only thing about that version, Jacques, is that it costs nearly as much as just replacing the whole thing with the Siren II and smaller, more compact paging unit.  The old units were notoriously short lived and had a short range as well.  Just ask d00d...

And the parts guys/gals are kind enough to let you go ahead and order the pager, knowing (or more than likely, not knowing) that it won't work without the Siren II, so they not only give you the privilege of buying the new parts, but the opportunity for you to scratch your watch and wind your ass trying to figure out why it won't work with the existing alarm system....then you get to wait on the new Siren II part to arrive...

TC is correct on this. If you are looking to add the pager system to your bike go w/the newer Smart Siren II setup. The one that Jacques is showing is the one I originally had on my bike, and I had to have it replaced because either the transmitter or the receiver died and it wouldn't work anymore. Unit lasted about two years before it was replaced and also the range isn't as good as the newer model.

Unfortunately they don't supply these on the CVO's from stock, but don't worry this will not be the only thing you find that didn't come standard on their premier model.

I agree with you  for the pager system with newer Smart Siren II.
It's better than the oldest.
Mine was an opportunity on Ebay and when it'll die , it will be not a big loss.
