.125 stereo coupling
« on: October 05, 2007, 07:19:43 PM »

I dont have a 36"   1/8" stereo cable to hook up the aux output of the Sirius radio to the Harley HK. I do have 2- 18" cables and am wondering if it will hurt anything to use a coupling till I can get a new 36" cable.

No, the coupler will work. Dealing with digital is why, if analog, you might experience some signal loss, but not with sat. And for audio out it is ok also. If antenna, a whole nuther issue. It either works or it don't. You'll be fine.

The signal he is coupling IS an analog signal. That connector type is notoriously poor and is not weather resistant. It won't hurt to use it though. -K

B...you can get the 90 degree gold plated cable from Sound Professionals via the web, any length.  Have 'em ship it to Rocky Waters if necessary.  The coupling will work fine, but if you're having trouble getting the cable length you need, that's the source.
