Who did your build and do you recommend them? I'm looking at a winter build on my 08 SERK. Gathering all info I can. I'm leaning towards making her a 117 / 124 as I'm splitting her open to replace chinese crank and add Timken. May help avoid some of the 110 problems also.

The size of the engine isn't the problem, it's the current design (or lack thereof!) that's causing all the 110 problems. Take your time and research carefully BD110. The HD cases are the only cases available for these bikes right now. It uses a stock 88" cylinder stud pattern. I'd think carefully about enlarging the bore in the engines. You can change cranks and use an S&S 4-5/8" crank. That would be 116". S&S makes a 116" Hot Setup for this with the crank (Timkin only), piston's and cylinders and gear drive cam setup. I thought about this since I'm rebuilding mine right now. But the 5/8" leg will put more stress on the engine, and I want mine to last. And the 640 cam was also too much for me on a touring bike. So I'm leaving it 110" with an S&S Race Forged crank and Timkin Conversion. This should be a reasonably lasting motor then,with no leaks! ;)

I have two guys that I like at my dealer,(Woodstock H-D, Woodstock, ILL.) they are very good, Brad & Mike, They definitly know what they are doing and are always wanting to learn more.

 I'm sure there are alot of places to go that are pretty good, Hal's H-D in New Berlin, WI is suppose to be good to. You have to call around and find someone who you feel comfortable with and go with who you feel good about!!

 Brad at my dealer is good to me and I stick with him!! Nobody is perfect, thats for sure, but I am happy with his efforts always!!

   All I can say, is do alittle checking around and you will find someone who will work with you and you will be happy with!! :2vrolijk_21:

 Well, things have changed alittle bit, I decided that the 103 just wasn't enough! :o It ran good, but it just wasn't quit enough, so I decided to go to the 113!! :shocked2:

 My dealer and I worked out a deal that I couldn't pass up and I figured that nows my chance, so why not!! :2vrolijk_21:

 I picked it up today and rode just alittle, it's awsome!! :bananarock: It hasn't been tuned yet, but it runs good and I know it will run even be better when it's tuned!!

 It now has,

      SE-103+ Heads
      113 cylinders
      103+ stroker pistons
      251 cams
      SERT / highflow A/C
      D&D 2-1 exhaust
      SE- performance clutch

 I am guessing #'s around HP-115 & TQ-120 ?? :nixweiss:

 I know there is bigger and better out there, but this is definitly good enough for me!! :2vrolijk_21:

 Once I get it tuned, I will post the #'s

  The only thing to do now, is the paint job this winter, then I am done!! :beatdeadhorse:

#'s are in, it was HP-117.97 & TQ-121.73, I was really happy, but it was not finished tonight, they were still doing some final tuning on it, so I will get to pick it up tommorow morning.

 I hope to ride for awhile tommorow!! I will let you know how it runs !!
