Just a quick "hello" - I picked up my 07 SE Road King in late June this year and I've meant to introduce myself before now. But I've been too busy riding this summer!
I've got a Night Rod Special and the bagger. Very very happy with both rides. In fact, each has almost identical mileage now, 3900 +/- 30 on each. But the DX has a 3 month head start on the RK, so it's fair to say I've been favoring the bagger in terms of passenger comfort and utility (try buying anything more than a bottle of Sunwash on the DX & there's just no where to put it!). Oddly, the DX has a more comfortable seat than the Road King, something which the nice folks at Le Pera will have to help me with in the off-season.
By the way, this is a really good site. I've gotten a lot of good ideas and useful information here, thank you to all for that. Hope to make a few contributions in the coming years. I do spend a good deal of time on the V-Rod forums (1130cc.com) and my "name" NightRodX is the same over there. I used it here too to keep things simple for myself!
I can already tell this Road King's gonna be around a long time - I like it a lot. I hope these early pic's of it and the DX upload correctly. I'll post some recent ones soon - haven't changed much you can see since these photos except for switching to a pair of Rinehart slipons and I usually ride with a clear king-sized windshield instead of the low smoked stock one.
