I bit the bullet on the front fender I wanged up on the Nelosn ride when I ditched it.

I was going to go with the fender skirt for camo, but ordered the new fender a couple of weeks back.  The parts guy about gagged when he called me back to make sure I wanted it because of the price.

Something just short of $1k before the discount.

I think my deductible is $1k anyway so I'm hosed either way.

I do recall when I had State Farm as many insurance companies do, when the incident is between two of their insureds there is no deductible.

That seems surprisingly quick.  Congrats on getting it so quickly.  Going to let the Mrs. be your extra set of hands to help install it?

I'm assuming Brian got if from Jenny. If so, I'm not surprised at all. I think she must be at the bottom of a worm hole as fast as she can get stuff.  ;D

Remember, she is the reason I had to get a new fender in the first place.  So, after I hung up, I was thinking maybe I shoulda called her back and told her to stay far, far away from it. :nervous:

The hands that will help install it are down in the Atlanta, GA area. ;) :2vrolijk_21:

It was, in fact, Jenny.  That lady is amazing!  She said, "It'll be there 'soon'" when I ordered it, and she was right.  I really wasn't expecting it until the end of next month, myself.

Yep....just unpacked it and did a quick 'once-over'.   Looks good except for a dime sized chip on the bottom INSIDE.  Looks as if someone sat the fender down hard on something and the edge chipped the paint all off to the bare metal on the inside.  It's not gonna be noticeable....I'll just touch it up to keep it from rusting and so as to not notice the bottom lip and it'll be fine.  Just hope the ft. fairing is 'perfect'.  Then I'll be happy.  And maybe order the gas tank next.  Hope yours is perfect, Brian.   Let me know.  har!  :drink: spyder

Spyder, no chips, just a few light scratches on the inside.  Nothing at all to be concerned about on mine.  Really, the thing looks better than I expected. :huepfenlol2:  I figured the colors would be reversed like the replacement parts that ak got awhile back, so I am pleasantly surprised.

Another thing that's great about Jenni . . . . . no charge on the credit card until the product shipped.  At any other dealer, you'd pay the full amount when you placed the order.  She's the best! :smitten:

Hey!  You guys haven't got something going on, now do you....'cause she did send you the 'good' fender w/o the chip???  No, all kiddin' aside, I was pleasantly surprised when she told me as I placed the order that she wasn't going to bill the credit card then.....that's good bizness.  :drink: har!  spyder

Hey 103tHunDer, I never rec'd. my front fairing from Jenni........reckon I ought to give her a call or maybe they're still waiting to get enough orders to paint them?  I'm in no hurry for it, but didn't want them to let my order slip 'twix' the cracks.  ::) har!  spyder

I ordered my fender at the same general time and it isn't here either.  I imagine it takes awhile if they don't have one on the shelf.

Spyder, it never hurts to call if you're concerned, but it's "only" been about 9 weeks so far.  What do they say on painted stuff, typically, 10 - 12 weeks is it?  It might be just a few more days.

That doesn't explain why the 2 fenders got to us as fast as they did since I doubt they had them lying around, or they would have arrived even quicker.  Maybe, if there are multiple orders for the same part number, that gives some priority? :nixweiss:

Just reading this thread...never have ordered from JENNI myself, but I need a new tank for my 03 SED.  I was worried that I would have to ship off the old one and did not want to go through the hassle.  If I can order a new one, I would and actually leave the old one on so as to not muck up the new one!

Now the scary part...finding out what a new tank would cost!

Bill

Saw one on ebay the other day.
Skipped right over it thinking now who would need a tank.
Do a search, I bet it's still there!

there was one a while back that I skipped on.  My original tank had the overlap marks in the Gold Leaf.  After my accident a couple of years ago, the new tank was perfect...until this new ding and chip (nothing personal)!  Anyway, the one on ebay before had the overlaps.  Can't find one there right now...just a S/B one!
