Josh will be flying out tomorrow...

I am so tired...I just cant explain...

But I thought I would post a pic of a few cute nurses that love Josh and have cared for
him with all their hearts...

Big Daddy would be proud!!!  Hear me Q?

Barry,
It brings tears to MY eyes to read this thread.... my most positive thoughts to your entire family. Somehow I have very good feelings that Josh will be OK. I am with you all the way on this one brother. May all your days be filled with good news with wishes and dreams fulfilled!

Barry,

It's great to see Josh's continued success!  As for the cute nurses, the bonus is they're cute, the awesome part is the loving care these selfless care-giving professionals provide daily around the world!  Good luck on Josh's transfer to Atlanta.  Keep us informed as to his progress which we look forward to seeing every day.  Most importantly, get some rest.....physically and mentally!

Keep well and very best wishes,
Craig & Martha

Hey Barry! :drink:

Just wanted to let you know we love ya!!! I get so filled when I go thru this thread and see how God has provided. Speaking on provisions, how you guys doing financially? I thought I read somewhere that Karen will not be paid for this time off since she hasn't been there a year yet. Let us know if there is anything we can do! I continue to pray for strength and wisdom and praise Him for His mercy and Love. Bless Ya Buddy!

Morning Barry!!  :P

Hey ya'll!

I was out of town over the w/e when I thought the best laid plans were in progress! Josh and his mom on the way to GA!

I heard those well laid plans weren't set in stone but crappy paperwork *GGRRRR* Instead of the expected leave on Thursday, the red tape had to be cut. Fortunately that was done but Josh didn't make it to GA until today. Pretty damn nice ride in a Lear Jet (WITH one of his cute nurses!) in 35 minutes! Not too shabby, at all. I know we'd all been happier if he'd been on a Harley  :huepfenlol2:

Anyway, Josh has ALREADY impressed the people in Atlanta and they've NO doubts that Josh WILL be a walking man! *grins ear to ear* He not only did a dog and pony show of ACTUALLY being able to lift his legs, HE told his dad that he didn't know he could do that! So, keep those positive thoughts flowing!

They plan on doing the work on his elbow sometime next week after he gets settled and stable from the trip. He needs lots of "wiggle them fingers" prayers because they say that's going to be the last thing to probably fall into line in his healing process! The sooner the better!! WIGGLE THEM FINGERS JOSH!!

Barry said he'd try to get online and update tomorrow. He's been up to his ass in alligators and paperwork. I made him promise to get lots of rest and take care of himself. And if stir crazy sets in, to head this way to ride with Ken! Sounds like he needs some wind in his hair and a smooth winding road.

Just bumping the thread to keep you updated on this amazing kid of Barry's and request for continued thoughts and prayers. You guys are the best!

Barry,

I know you only through this site and that you are a brother in Christ, and pray for your family and Josh.  I've been following Josh's progress on the CaringBridge site.  I was worried when they took Josh off the medication before the flight -- that he might slip backwards or lose progress.  Glad to hear that he's doing OK.

Some have wondered how they can help you, and please forgive me for quoting across different boards, but the following is from Karen's posts:

"We are setting up a trust fund in Josh's name today @ Regions Bank in Paducah. So many have asked how you can help and be of assistance to us during this difficult time, and this is definitely one way people can help. Our expense will be exorbitant, and anything anyone is able to do will be most greatly appreciated. Between the trips back and forth to Atlanta Barry and the girls and Chris will be making, my expenses while I'm there and the medical expense, any kindness and generosity in this way will be humbly received. Our representative there in Lone Oak will have this up and running today and will keep track of the deposits so we can properly send out thank you's to everyone...

This is good...very good!!! But I was a thinking...I know, I know...This is good but wouldn't it be better if we had a paypal account set up so those that wanted to make a contribution with a credit card can do so. :nixweiss: Kinda, likea, Don had set up for his friends daughter who has cancer. Makes it easier to be able to help, IMHO! Just a thinking out loud!!! ;D :D :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

Sorry for taking so long to update...

Josh is doing better and better every day. The people at the Shepherd Spine Center
are amazing...and thats all they do is spine accidents. Josh is progressing very quickly
to the amazement of all...some are even rethinking their beleif in God...its just a miracle!!! The girls and I are somewhat back to normal...they are back in school and I am working some...but scheduling light. Karen and Josh are down in Atlanta and settled in for the long haul. Its goin to be tough but we will overcome!!! Karen called this morning and said Josh was moving his pointing finger...this really is great news!!! Josh also called and reasured me he would work very hard...

As far as donations to help...I have been avoiding...since I am a giver...and if you know a giver...they are terrible recievers!!!  But we are taking a financial hit...I have made it through tougher than this and will make it through this. Karen is out of work for possibly three months and I have all but quit my overtime work(translated chrome money)...oh well, all that is important to me is that Josh will walk and regain use of his hands. My company decided late this year to hold my bonus till the first of the year...and that puts a bind on xmas...it may be a very visa xmas. I have three kids of my own and two others I am raising...life is full and I have what is better than money!  They will have a great xmas no matter and Josh said he would walk by then as my gift!!! What a geat gift!!!

I know there are some who want to help and all donations will go for the expenses of Karen and Josh and the mound of Medical Care he has needed...If there is extra it will go directly to Josh to help with all the extra stuff he made need to return to a normal a life as possible when he gets back home...

I do have a paypal for those who have asked ,its

 barry.heine@siemens.com

Please leave a name and address so I can properly thank those who wish to help.

I am overwelmed by all those who have asked to help...and its not about me no more...its about Josh, my wife, and my children and their wellfare...

Thank you all,
Your friend,

Barry Heine
