I fully agree with Brian here Barry. And you might not see progress every day either. This will take some time. But we're hopeful that in the end, Josh will have made a full recovery. We're all pulling for Josh, yourself, and your family! Hang in there brother. Things will get better soon! :2vrolijk_21:

Hoist! 8)

I couldn't have said it better...we're all praying and pulling for you and your entire family. Keep the faith! xoxo

Hey Barry, I saw the message from Karen at the other site it was great your son Chris flew in I am sure having the family all together feels pretty good.  I sure hope Karen is able to get the situation with the nurses under control. I work at the VA hospital and I know some of the nurses just have gotten hardened to it all and don't show much compasion. But I am sure they all care they just do it like a job unfortunately. Well I hope you have a nice visit and I am still praying for your family.

what a treat. And what great people.  I came down today with Jessica(cvo princess) and my niece Taylor and Josh beautiful girlfriend Audrey. We  will stay here till tomorrow and then head back for school and work.

Thanks all for your wonderful comments...and if you havent went to the caringbridge.org/visit/joshheine

Hey all,

A little slow getting back here, but Pinkie and I got to meet Josh on Friday. The whole Heine clan was there. We had a great visit and were really impressed with how well he's progressed since the accident. It really is encouraging.

Keep up the good work Josh. I know you'll make it.

JR,

Donations are written out to Josh Heine special account...and sent to C/O regions bank attention Corey Dunn. I cant thank you enough for wishing to help.
It is going to be tough as Karen will be living in Atlanta possibly until March and I will be home with the other two girls. She is out of work until further notice. And I am not working any overtime.  I wished I had enough money to pay my older son Chris to stay in Atlanta, as Karen said today, that he was helping Josh leaps and bounds...but he has to go back to college and back to work to make ends meet.  I am so greatful to those that have taken the time to leave a message on the caringbidge website...its the fuel that keeps them going. I do have a paypal account for those that wish to use it...the account is listed earlier in the post. I am not good at asking for help...but in a tight situation...one will take any help they can get.

Thank You,
Your friend,
Barry Heine

Hey all,

I just wanted to give a quick update on Josh...

He is making great progress and every day he gets a little better. He is now
starting to move his left leg some and a few fingers on his left hand.  He now has
control of his bowels and urine...which is hugh!!!  He should be going from a electric wheel chair to a manual tomorrow.  We are hoping that he may go outpatient by January and possibly home by March...but even then it will be a long road to recoery.

I also want to thank those on the website who have sent in contributions to help.
I am a one bike guy and most definetly middle class income.  My wife has stopped working and I have all but quit working overtime and taking call. I have had to actually make a budget here lately. We fight with the insurance weekly and will have to find my wife and apartment on Dec5...as insurance wont pay any more.
If I have to sell my bike to give my kid the best...I would do it in a heartbeat!

I am blown away by the generousity of this site and humbled by it all. You guy have came through for me in my time of need and I cant thank you enough!!!  I am hoping that our church will also help some...as I would like to find Karen an apartment near the spine center ...so she wont have to commute every day...

Neil and John....thank you so much!!!
JR...you are too much!!!

I wish I could say thank you in a way that my heart feels...but words just wont do it!!!

God Bless,
And Thanks again,

BArry

When it rains it pours...I was checking out Joshs' website http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/joshheine and copied this:

Hey all,

It's Barry here...

I am doing the update today because Karen got hit in her car last night on the way home from the sub shop. She ended up in the ER and her xrays where fine and they sent her home with severe whiplash. Karen has had neck problems for years and this hasnt helped. She is in bed and trying to rest. I am sure she wont be there long...even though she needs to!

Josh has a good nurse today and seems to be doing ok...The girls and I will head out early today and be in Atlanta by 7 or 8 tonight... I can cover so Karen can recoupe some this weekend.

ps. Dont ever ask what else could go wrong?!!!

Gods love,

Barry

What's next??? :nervous: I was praying with Barry last night and he was so upbeat even with all the drama going on in his life right now and then this happens. My heart goes out to him and his family. I know we are all getting into our holiday mode and have a lot going on in our lives. But may I ask you to lift up this family in prayer. Josh has made miraculous improvements and has a long way to go. If you haven't already made a donation may you prayfully consider doing so. Anything would be Everything to this family. When I hear a brother talk about selling his scooter I know he is in need. Gods Sweet Love!

Barry, Karen and Josh, Sorry to hear about Karens accident, man, when it rains, it pours. I think about you guys many times every day. The first thing I do every morning when I get to work is check our website and the Caringbridge website for the days update. I am thankful for the progress that Josh is making. Y'all take care of yourselves and have a good weekend.
