Hey Guys,
Sure do miss all you guys...miss the site...and miss being at home. But that is all changing this weekend. My son, Josh, gets to come home for the holidays. We are leaving friday and will have to return on Christmas Day...or maybe the day after. Josh is slowly progressing and we found out that he will need surgery on his left elbow. We hope this doesnt mess up his rehab. He may have to go home after the surgery and it could be difficult to get him back in the day program down here which is intensive PT from 9to4 each day. It all seem to be what the insurance does or doesnt do. It is amazing that a insurance company could make the difference if my kid walks again. Someone who has never even seen my son. Oh well, I didnt log on to gripe...but to tell you how thankful for you guys on the site helping me through this difficult time. I am so looking forward to Christmas this year and have more to be thankful for than anyone. I think when I get home I made ride my bike a little no matter how cold...just cause I can! Another thing to be thankful for.
As I talk with people here they say things like I wish I could just have use of one of my hands...or I would trade being able to stand, if I could just go the bathroom normal. I have a new awareness of being thankful. So to you...my CVO brothers...I am thankful. So this Christmas...all I want if for everyone here is to love those around you and reflect a little with friends and family of what we have to be thankful for!!!
Your Friend,
Barry Heine
