I know how to do a search, but I figured I would ask the riders. Sometimes
you get good info.

If you do a "Search" the information will come from the riders. :nixweiss:

What can be said that hasn't already? :nixweiss:  It would be better for you and the "riders" to read some of the existing comments and then come back to the group with specific questions once you've narrowed down your choices.

I have a good friend who put the Super Trapp slip ons on his bike.  They are advertised as 3 db over stock.  They sound more like 9 db over stock.  (3 db  is double the noise level)
They are too loud as far as he and his wife are concerned.  They are the queitest change I've heard of so far.

Let me know ?

I put on Vance & Hines true duals and left the stock pipes on my '05 FLHTCSE2 and am very happy with the set up... Great sound but not too loud and a lot less heat without the Y-pipe.

Let me know ?

Go here:  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?board=27.0

Scroll through all the threads there and you will find more information than you ever wanted to know about every possible combination.  You've got to answer some questions: All out performance (maxium TQ/HP)?  Will you sacrifice some performance for looks? What look do you prefer?  How loud, or quiet, are you comfortable with?

I've got RH true duals, but they are too loud for some tastes, and not loud enough for others.

I just got these Bub 7 slip-ons, they're loud to me, but when you're at a steady rpm its quiet. If that makes sense :nixweiss:

Ditto Rinehart TDs. They have a nice, low rumble, are not too loud, and they have a better soundtrack than any CD/iPod you could have plugged in.  :2vrolijk_21:

I echo what TC said - You have to decide what you want.

Do you want performance (TQ & HP)?
Do you want looks - Tru Duals?
Or, do you want quite?

If you want quite, I would not suggest the two into one performance pipes or any of the TruDuals (V&H or Rinehart).  If keeping it on the quite side is your main objective, you will probably want to keep your stock header pipes and change to different slip-on mufflers.  Which slip-on mufflers?.... I suggest looking around and listening to other mufflers.  You don't want to spent $$$ and then be unhappy with your purchase.

I have V&H Big Shot Duals.  They were a little too loud for me until I changes to the quite baffles and added fish-tail tips (the tips did make a difference in the tone).  They sound awesome now IMO, but would probably be too loud for you.

Get out and go on a few poker runs and toy runs (since Christmas is coming up quick).  Look and listen.
