Any trouble with the '08 110's yet?
« on: October 21, 2007, 10:19:51 PM »

I have a deposit on an anniversary CVO Ultra.  Before I complete the sale, how many problems have cropped up on the '08 110 so far.  Such as the oil leaks, crank problems, idle problems, etc.  I hope the '08's aren't simply a continuation of the '07's.  The only problem I've read about so far, was the one CVO in Vancouver that lost his oil pump.

Probably not what you are hoping to hear, but honestly, I don't think the 08 110's are any different then the 07 110's.  If there are not many reports of 08 issues yet, it may be because there are not many 08's that have hit the magic 4000 - 6000 mile mark - which is where most issues became evident on the 07's.  It there have been improvements to the 08's, it is a well kept secret.  I have heard of no improvements or design changes...  Sorry...

No problems yet, but only had it a week with 650 miles on it.  Still treating it "nice" for the break-in.  The potential problems made the extended warranty more of a value for me.  I otherwise never purchase them, but added 3 years' warranty to this bike.

Mine's squeekin'.  Can't tell for sure where it's coming from.  Forks, engine or swingarm.  Squeeks over any pavement irregularities.  Any suggestions?

Check the exhaust heat shields and make sure the clamps are tight.  I had a squeaking in the front of my SEUC and the front heat heat shield clamp was loose.  Tightened it up, and away went the squeak!! ;)

If you've had the rear shocks loose for any reason and reinstalled, loosen the mounts one more time and re-tighten. The rubber shock mount bushings will squeak if not relaxed in their normal position.
