JUST PICKED THE BIKE AFTER HAVING IDS FITTED SMOOTH AS.....THEY CHARGED 1HR LABOUR BUT GOT THE IDS AT COST SO CARNT COMPLAIN.

I don't mean to steal Chief's response, but talk to your service manager.  He/she should have a promotion letter from the MoCo describing the elbow grease offer.  My service manager said the IDS offer is the very last thing on the letter, but he found it and applied it to the installation of the IDS on my machine.

Funny thing. We rented a stock '07 EG last week. We were on a dark quiet road. I had the bike in 5th at about 2500 RPM. I started accelerating and you had to hear that thing whine as you bring up the revs. Binx started freaking out and going "What's that noise?" :nixweiss:

I just laughed and said, "Don't worry baby, that sound is normal!" "It's just 5th gear." She shook here head in disbelief. She had never heard it before on my bike. Man my FatCats sure cured that 5th gear whine! ;)

Thanks for the reply.  Red Devil's info saved the day.  BTW, based on a short ride, the difference in the scoot was immediately apparent - well worth the $$!   I'll be able to post more after I get her back from making her heart beat stronger.
