I bought a Corbin Hollywood solo seat from Corbin Florida at the beginning of bike week a week ago Sunday.
I noticed on the ride home to Tampa that same day that the front of the seat wasn't square with the console leaving a gap which is worse when you sit on the seat because the basepan bows. I also noticed that it felt like I was sitting on golf balls. I thought about returning to the store but I was pushed for time to get home the same day.
After examining the seat I discovered that there was no adjustment that could be made to make the seat fit better on the bike and the way the seat is made with their locking mechanism right under your butt there would be no way to make the seat more comfortable.
I called Corbin and talked to a representative and told him I was unhappy with the seat and he said no problem just come back and they would swap it out with another seat.
It was too cold on this past Sunday for me to ride over there and I am now glad I didn't because I just talked to Don(one of the store managers) and he said they would not swap out the seat for another model. They tell you "just ride the seat and it will break in" what they don't tell you is once it is on your bike, you own it, period.
I am waiting for an RMA number because they say they will repair the seat, but so far my dealings with Corbin have been less than desirable.
I paid them to ship my old seat back to me and the said it would go by UPS on Monday which means I would get it Tuesday. I had to call Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and it finally showed up on Friday.
Buyer beware when dealing with Corbin if you order a seat and received it and dont' like it, too bad, it is yours.
Right now I feel like I have been burnt for $340 by Corbin.
