Pictures: Mena Arkansas - Oct. 16 - 21
« on: October 26, 2007, 02:00:57 PM »

Took a trip to the Eastern Okla. / Western Arkansas area last week.  What an awesome time.  It has been warmer than normal (low 80's), so the leaves had not changed when we were there.  May have to take another trip in a week or so, as it is now cooling down.
Anyway, thought I would share a few pics.

The Talimena Drive runs from Talihina, Okla. to Mena, Arkansas.

On the Talimena you are either going up hill, down hill, into a curve, or all at the same time.

From Talihina, Okla. we headed south down to Smithville, Okla, where we hit Hwy 4 to cut back into Arkansas.

A stop on Hwy 4 -- Three Sticks.  Can you guess why it is called Three Sticks?

Another Pic.  I forgot to mention that most of these pictures were taken by my wife from the back of the bike at highway speed.

We made our way back to Hatfield, Arkansas and ate at a small diner called Vicky's.  Vicky's is best known for their homemade pie.  If you go through Hatfield, you don't want to skip Vicky's.
When we pulled up, my SEUC made the fourth CVO bike parked there.  There was another bike identical to mine, the banana pictured with mine and a SE Fatboy.
