Bitter/Sweet
« on: November 02, 2007, 08:28:39 AM »

I beleive I have sold the SEFTBY after a couple of months, three different magazines, three times on EBAY and in the delaership on consignemnt.  A friend of a friend saw it on ebay and email me a couple of questions about it.  Before I could respond back, he opted for the "buy it now" option for 23,500.00.  I almost wanted it not to sell so I could have two bikes for a while.  But realistically, I have not won the lottery nor have i started $h1tt1ng golden eggs so the SEFTBY was replaced a sweet @ss  :bananarock: SEEG.  I will still maintain that the SEFTBY had the best riding positions though and yes I still believe that the Nebula Yellow and Deep Cobalt Blue was and still is the best color ever to leave the MOCO since 1903!!!  Until I reach platinum status and start wiping my @ss with $$$ bills, I will stay with one bike.

Therefore, it's time to buy me some rims.  I will post the normal before during after pics once I order them.  I will probably order them today.  I will converse with either renegade or hogpro on sizes, tires, etc.  I recently read some bad stuff about Metzellers on here, but I imagine that there is bad $h1t on all of them if you dig far enough.  But this the look I'm looking at achieving, see pic below.  Unfortunately, someone has already thought of the combination, so I guess it's a two of kind!

I'm sure you were sorry to see it go.  I agree that it's the best color combination.  That year SE Fatboy had the best colors.  They were true SE.  Enjoy the banana.  I'm looking forward to the photos....

Im sure you were sad to see the SEFB go, but as you ride and customize the SEEG, you will appreciate it more I believe.

Just a little reminder from much experience on having flat tires very far from home....Try to use tire and rim combinations that will have tires available at most dealerships.

It is a big pain in the azz to have a flat 1000 miles from home and have to wait 2 days for one to be ordered from Drag.

Just because you buy the same wheels as in the Hogpro Ad, doesn't make your bike a copy. As I look at that photo you posted, I see a stock seat that could be replaced, I see a true-dual system that could be changed to a 2 into 1, I see a lot of things. And that's just my vision on the perfect Banana. Yours is yours and I am sure once you finished with the bike, even if it were parked next to the one below, it wouldn't be the same And even if it was, why should you not have what you like because someone else already did it ? I mean it's not like these wheel companies are in business only selling one set of each design.

I try not to, but the garage gets too crowded.  Two is the limit until I get a bigger garage!

I here ya, mine will be different, hidden antenna, exhaust, etc.  BTW ordered the wheels, I run to the door everytime the UPS or FEDEX guy drive by the house.  My dog thinks I'm nuts.

I wish I could keep them all, but I dont wipe my @ss with 100 bills yets, playing the lottory though.  Got wife and kid with wife wanting more, that means I have to stick to one bike, one boat, one truck.  I'll probably start a new thread when the wheels come in.  Unless you drinking beer with the guys in N. GA, it's been quiet in these parts, i.e. the SEEG section of this ocd site!

Ernie

Five here plus the scooters and the garage is full.
I'm on restriction now.
Got to get a bigger garage or sell something.

I'm going for the bigger garage!

Chip, I may not want to know the answer.  But still can't help but ask.  Just what is the punishment like around your house if you break "restriction?"  ??? :nixweiss:

You gotta have your priorities straight!
