Brian,
What's the latest?
Well let's see....got the compensator nut off the hard way, grinding little by little till it fell off. Tried to install the left side case and crank on a 16 foot lathe. The whole thing was too catiwampus for even this big lathe, so back to the cave man days. ha ha
Once we got the comp sleve off with the grinder, everything just fell into place. The crank looks by the naked eye, not to be hurt. Are sending it off on Tuesday to see if everything is OK with it.
Left home on Friday around noon and delivered the trans, oil pan, left and right case, cylinders and heads, along with some misc parts, to the powder coater in Moncks Corner SC. Droped them off at 8pm on Friday and headed to Oviedo Fla to where Crash is.
Picked up the motor and trans from Oviedo. Will tear down that motor, the trans has already been rebuilt, and start with the transformation with that one. Might as well have 2 down bikes at the same time.
Got home Sunday morning from the big road trip. 1800 miles in 48 hours. Man my ass hurt less than this when I did it on Bessie

The powder coater said he would have everything done by the day after Thanksgiving, which is great because Kathy and I go to Charlestown for Thanksgiving. I can pick up the parts from him on Friday and leave there and drive to Oviedo and pick up Crash from the painter. I hope everything really does fall into place for this trip, like this weekend did

Guess till Thanksgiving the only thing I can do is to look at all the parts laid out for the 2 bikes and well just look at them

Plenty of time from now and then for you to buy stock in Crown Royal. Lots of time for me to do all I can to help their stock price rise
