Beautiful SERK, Mark.  Congratulations!  I can't think of a better place for Elvis than right there in Shelby County.  Enjoy.

Whoa!!!!!!!!!!!  The bike looks friggin' SWEEEEEEEEEEET, Mark!  I'll bet you are very happy to finally have him home!  You will have to do a ride report for us to let us know what you think of the SERK versus the SEEG.

Love that first photo! :2vrolijk_21:

It is amazing how differently it rides from the banana. One huge difference is due to the 6 speed, not used to cruising at 85 MPH looking at 2,700 rpm's and having plenty left. They dyno'd very close in HP and TQ but the graphs peak at opposite ends. The difference in gearing makes the NANA seem like a 67 big block vette compared to Elvis a Porsche 911. Nana will throw you off the back under 40 but Elvis will carve high speed curves like a dream and don't mind passing anything at 75. Should be very interesting after Traction Dynamics next Monday. The only bad thing is having to break in another Corbin, I forgot how much I hate the first 1K on a Corbin.

Jerry if I could add an overdrive gear or just an additional gear and not touch the existing 5, I would do it today but I don't want to give up the "spunk" the nana has now. I did talk to Rosie about switching the tranny's between the two bikes. Might just do that as my winter project.

MJ, unless I'm remembering incorrectly the Harley branded overdrive kit does gain the overdrive gear without changing ratios in the first five.

Great job Mark. Bike looks great. You'll love the SERK with the Traxxion too! Good luck with it! :2vrolijk_21:

Very interesting, I thought I'd read somewhere that the 05 couldn't get just the OD gear, it had to do the whole new tranny that had the different gears in it. In that same thread, I thought it said in the 06 you could add just the 6th gear but not in the 05. I am so confused, as usual. ???

Yes, that's correct MJ.  You change either the complete gear set or the complete tranny.  In doing so, however, the first five gear ratios are maintained the same.  Sorry for the confusion.  I'm good at confusion though.  It's my normal state of being :2vrolijk_21: .

I'm having some recall, it was the rep at Chicago HD that told me I should just buy the new tranny for like $2,800 because modifying the existing with a new gear set was a PIA. When I looked at my checkbook and thought $2,800 plus shipping, plus labor, NOT!  :(
The Baker DD 6 speed in Elvis must have a completely different gear set in it, not the same as the HD 6 speed set. But the Chicago rep did tell me he thought the HD tranny was manufactured by Baker for HD.
