yeah well for me I was trying to fix the fact that the nav system had no clue about what direction I was traveling...I was happier before I loaded the nav software without the compass...it is kind of like a clock that is wrong, when you look at it, it just kind of pisses you off.  anyway so far the update seems to have corrected the compass error...but I am not holding my breath...h-d stands for half-designed

Funny............but true

I thought is was Hundred Dollars?

But for what it's worth mine has had 8.19 and works fine.  No issues including the compass seeming to say the correct direction.  But then again maybe I'm going in circles and it's just giving me a false sense of security.   :confused5:

Well, maybe one issue.  If I shut the bike off with the radio still on, the next time I turn the bike on I have to "OK" the Navigator warning.  If I shut the radio off first and then the bike, the next time I turn the bike on and then turn on the radio it doesn't ask me to OK.  Doesn't matter if I've used the GPS in the interim or not.  IS that an issue or just "Half-Designed"?

Best Regards,

I wasn't going to attempt the download, until stekat put his post in about Hogtunes.

I have 8.11.0 on mine, the Hogtunes site says that if you get the newest download the radio plays louder.... can anyone confirm?

I bought my bike used, no manual included... all this talk about navigation and compasses is new to me.

When I went out to see if I had a compass, radio tells me that Nav software is not loaded and to see the dealer.

What does the software do, and where do I get it?

You'll need more than the navigation software for an 06 SEUC, and you'll need to be willing to part with $1K plus labor if you have your stealer do the install.  The nav kit includes a module that fits into the back of your HK, an antenna, and software.  That's alot of $ and work for a nav system that merely points its finger......."go thataway."  I think if one wants a nav system, they'll get more bang for the buck with a Garmin product and a Techmount.  I'm a recent hardheaded convert, and though the civilian stuff has challenges, I really like it.  Sure helped out this weekend.........even though there were some funky turns, which were likely the result of my own incompetence with MapSource.
