Enthusiast gets it right............. finally!!!!
« on: November 07, 2007, 09:51:32 PM »

as most of you know HD Enthusiast mag had a article in it a few months ago where they stated syn3 was the only oil we could use without a impact on our warrenties........ seems enough folks wrote in and told them about the Magnuson- Moss warranty Act, because in this months mag they clearly state that syn 3 is not the only oil we can use! well that one didn't slip by did it? :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Yeah , the still leave the door open , but it would be pretty hard to prove engine failure based on the use of a superior product in court.

Never run it in any bike, have it taken out during predelivery and Dino oil installed.

The problem is that when the MOCO doesn not approve our warranty, It is our responsibility to prove them wrong. Still costs us in the long run.

The problem is that when the MOCO doesn not approve our warranty, It is our responsibility to prove them wrong. Still costs us in the long run.
And in actuality, it's supposed to be incumbant upon the dealer and the MoCo to prove that the failure in question is not covered by the warranty or extended service contract.  It's not supposed to be our responsiblity to prove that it is a warranty issue.  But they have the deeper pockets, so most people swallow the bullit when they say it's not covered by warranty without providing proof.
