Air boat ride at Lake Okeechobee.  The boat skipper knew he was in trouble!

The rides after we'd spend a couple hours on Thanksgiving day scraping a week's worth of Florida insect guts and stuff off of them.
Hope you enjoyed these photos.  We had a great ride.  Bikes behaved.  My starter got me back despite scaring the chit our of me on more than one occasion.
If anyone has any questions about where and what to see or where to eat - email Jorge!!
Happy holidays and everyone be safe!

I hear ya'.  Next time I'm down near home (Hopkinsville), we'll have to get together.  I'm thinking the two of us could probably get in some pretty good trouble - I mean have a good time - the bride just walked by  :o.

Ate lunch at the Islamorada Fish Market (highly recommended!) Spent three days/two nights on Key West - did the tourist thing ("southern most everything"  Tony

Tony,

I couldn't agree more on the Islamorada Fish Co., absolutely wonderful food (and adult beverages).  I remember they had very resonable prices, great food and service.  It is very nice to sit on the water's edge at sunset and share a nice meal with friends.  Sure brings back memories!  Glad you all had a great time!

Left Lorton, VA Autotrain Station at 1600,  Friday 16 Nov.  First picture is of the cart used to secure motorcycles for the "choo choo" ride.  These folks were very professional.   Trip takes 17 hours - non-stop.  ...
First before the pictures - Jorge is one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. His lovely wife Martha is a joy.  ...

Tony,  First - Jorge and lovely Martha ARE some of the nicest people we have ever met.

Re the train trip.  Sounds like the high class way to travel to Florida - no traffic problems.  So you enjoyed the rooms you chose, the meal accommodations were more than adequate, what was your expense, and how long in advance did you reserve your bike spots?  How much in advance did you have to be at the station to get the bikes loaded up?

Thanks for the great report and pics.

Tony...great pics, man!!  I haven't been to Key West since I was about 12 years old, so this is a trip I may have to plan in the upcoming year or so.

Jorge and Martha are two of the greatest people you'd ever want to meet in your lifetime, so glad you got to spend some time with them and got the guided tour!!
