The problems continue...Round 7

Instead of writing lengthy posts like I always seem to do, I will post up two pages of the recent dyno results. You will see for yourself that I am still losing power and why the SEFB isn't up to the challenge of the quest for 125HP and 125TQ for now.

By the way, the rear cylinder compression is less than the front by almost 10%. I believe that is a marginal call screamin' for another top end job. The Piston, Rings or even the head gaskets could be the contributing factor now.

In this dyno chart, you can see my current numbers. The results show overall torque and Horsepower numbers continue to drop until the next round.

In addition, the SEFatBoy is harder to ride now, with little ability to go into the 4500 rpm zone.  It struggles with any rev over 4K, unlike previous days when 4500 was normal shifting range.

Kona,

I read your posts and shudder! I ask my self how can this man have such bad luck with this fine motorcycle. Is this bad luck with you bike offset with good luck at the casino's you visit & have boasted about your winnings? I do believe you are still in front! But I can understand you frustration, I would not be happy to say the least!

I thought you had found a new tech to take care of things? Is that not going as planned? I can only assume you are doing all you can to turn this situation around.

I hope to read a more cheerfull post from you soon.

Cheers

kona, after the performance tune, im wondering if once you start building heat in the heads, if the knock sensor is pulling lots of timing. you start to knock, it pulls timing, you get hotter and it starts to knock, pulling timing---------------

just a thought. some tunrs will turn off the sensor with SERT and get some big numbers, then when they turn it back on, they dont finish the tune.

i may be way off base, and hopefully someone more famililar with SERT will chime in.

IIRC, unbalanced has good knowledge in the SERT arena.

.

Aussie,

It is little things that you do to you bike; like the custom cam cover; that make me want to spend enormous amounts of time, effort, money,  and use all of my resources, locate and amass together in one room every performance parts connection I have gained over the years, then Design, Develop, Engineer & Enhance an aftermarket chromed cover for an engine component, then Procure, Obtain, Acquire, Secure and purchase all of the necessary equipment to produce, construct, manufacturer, fabricate, create such an item. Then sell sell sell the living chit out of the product.

Now, if I only had an idea..hmmmmm. I got one. Here's the plan....

 1. go to Australia
 2. Find Aussie Mike
 3. Find his bike
 4. Take pictures of custom parts
 5. Reserve flight to Taiwan, and start knocking off some of the best work I have ever seen on a motorcycle, or any other OCD type property.
 6. Home.

Now that's a business plan from the desk of a biker with a closet fabrication wanna be with OCD trait.

I'll call the book series "How to make your Screamin' Eagle look like a million dollar daily driver.

Very nice Mike. You out do even you sometimes.
