Bike Dryer, leaf blower, little pig house blower
« on: November 17, 2007, 07:24:16 PM »

With the addition of the new house over the mountains and the fact it is in the midst of many trees (evergreen mostly) I found the need for a blower.

The driveway was covered in Tamarack needles and I found that sweeping them only made for big piles of needles.

So rather than do any research I headed down to my STIHL dealer and picked up a 4hp BR600 Stihl Backpack blower.

I think I might be able to power my Livingston boat with it like an airboat.  Anyway, if you need some wind I'd recommend one.

Should work as a bike dryer too.............

I'm thinking a chrome start handle, a cvo emblem on the recoil rope pull thing, and powder coat the blow tube,
Were a bunch of sick bastards.

Maybe, but those are great suggestions.  Not sure how the powder coat would do on the plastic tube though, maybe I need to have a stainless one fabricated? ::)

OR....maybe should have bought the CVO model first??? We all know once you buy the CVO, there's no further modifications needed.

I'm thinking a race tuner, re-jetting the carb and a S/E muffler will kick it up to 5 HP.

It does work well with the test run I gave it on the wet lawn at the lake. :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Don't buy the CVO model, it will leak.   :P

Is that a leaf blower or a jet pack?

No leaking and you know it does sort of push you (like a jetpack) a bit when you hit the trigger. :huepfenlol2:

I found that a light pull on the trigger using about half throttle pushes more air through the nozzle than full trottle, but its hard not to go full throttle all of the time.

Maybe you could modify it a bit and fly around the property a bit...  :coolblue:

Nice blower, Rog...I'm a firm believer in Stihl products.  I've got their weedeater, handheld blower, and 16" chainsaw.

You are to funny. Terry has been talking A LOT about one of those this year. I'll get pictures if he breaks down and buys one.
Enjoy your new toy, it'll make beer time that much sooner. UNLESS you get mr magoo to make you a drink holder for that machine. :drink: :drink:
