Looks like you have to have an account to get to the "harleyshoptalk" one, but the others worked fine.  Thanks for the links.  I'm gonna read up! :2vrolijk_21:

Well I found one not too far from my house.

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/mcy/478099371.html

The seller said it has 63K on the clock, and it was given a good going over by a local indy last last year. It belongs to her soon to be ex husband, so she really does not know a lot about it. I asked about the lowers, and she said she would have to check. Does not sound promising. I guess I can order a paint matched set if I have too. Now I just have to sell my bike.

Ironhorse, Craig's List has been a real good way of finding SERG's. Just for fun Yahoo -craigs list fltrsei- and then Google it. My daughter works for Yahoo and was embarrassed  :shocked2:  Doc

Well I'm going to look at the bike on Tuesday, so I have a couple of questions for you guys.

Does the SERG come with a rider backrest in the seat?
Does it also come with 3:37 gearing? I assume it does because it's a Marelli bike.

That's correct.  3.37:1.

So what is an Electra Glide if the SERG is 3.37:1?

So what is an Electra Glide if the SERG is 3.37:1?

The difference was carb vs EFI. Originally, the EFI bikes were 3.37:1 and the carb bikes were 3.15:1. The last couple of years, the EFI bikes were at 3.15:1.
