Ex Officio boxer briefs is what I wear...they do make a difference, plus you can wash them out in the sink and they'll be dry the next morning.
Thanks TC that's the stuff I think I'm looking for.

Never can say that I've experienced the "monkey butt". :nixweiss: I usually stop every couple of hours to get gas, stretch, or go to bathroom.

See, if you buy an 08 with the 6-gal tank, then you might end up experiencing that, because you don't stop as often!!  :confused5: That would be another reason why not to buy an 08, right!! :nixweiss:

Underarmor boxer briefs!

Like bike shorts, they don't bunch up under the thighs...this is where hanes cotton boxer briefs cause me discomfort on all day rides.

Terry,
Those look like they fit the bill, but the cheapest I could find them on the web was at $21.95.  A little pricey for underwear.  But if they work on long rides, I guess they'd be worth it.  Did you find them cheaper anywhere?

Sometimes you can find them on Sierra Trading Post dot com.  They don't have seams in the wrong places, will stay on your legs and not ride up, and wick moisture.  Two or three pair is all you need, and they last for YEARS.  The Underarmour is good stuff too, but also pricey.  The stuff like this really makes a difference in all day comfort on the bike, IMO.

I assume "monkey butt" is what we call "Swamp crotch"  Kind of catchy isn't it.  Forget about your undergarment or seat choices and use sheep skins.   It works really well!

I vote with Candy and WFP..  I use Underarmour brand if I know I am riding more than an hour.  They come to just above the knee and don't bunch up and wick away perspiration.  The only downside is that I haven't found any with a fly.  I gave about $30 a pair at Dick's Sporting Goods.   Worth it to me even at the cost and having the Corbin dual tour seat.
