Muffman - In the Bug Infested Jungle Tourist Fleecing Hurricane Swampy State it is usually warm.  And there are lots of Canadians here when it it is cold there.  Mostly they are friendly invaders - they spend money, take pictures of alligators, and leave.

Still better than Here. I have about another 3 -4 weeks before I can attempt to get away, then hooking up the trailer/bike & heading down 1-75 till its warm. Ordering some stuff from Jenni in Cinci & using that as excuse to escape.Pick the stuff up along the way.

Sounds like a good plan.  The brochures usually show Florida with a sun or a beach or or at Disney - happy smiling people enjoying a frosty or cold beverage or some damn thing.  Not so bad to live here - there is the occasional person eaten by an alligator & all but usually it's not anybody you know so WGAF.

Living in a frozen wasteland is not anything I envy, to be sure.

I've probably been in Florida 40 times & I never tire of it. Except Instead of Daytona this October I'm trying Myrtle. Been to Daytona 5 years running  & time to check other venues.

Guess that's why so many folks move here.

Myrtle is smaller & spread out.  People are friendly & it's a different atmosphere, except lots of the vendors are the same as DB.  Check out Suck,Bang, Blow.  We will be in MB in May for the Spring Rally.

It was 4 last week, this week its 5? That only makes sense if you're Canadian. The only thing about the long winter is my ability to keep on adding chrome when the bike is sitting dorment. The bike gained 20lbs, I gain 30. Go figure.
