Had some snow today, but none really stuck.  Headed home around 3 pm and glad to see the streets clear, well mostly clear.

Now that the snow is gone I have another issue with the streets.................

Yikes. Wouldn't want to whack those on a bike. Or a car. Weather here is the chits. 2" last night. Another 2 to 4" to-nite.

Actually they do have the "rule" book.  No hunting on the 6,000 acres.  No so stupid on their part :2vrolijk_21:

They weren't too jumpy.  I imagine had we been on the bike the exhaust would have hurried them along.  Always fun to see them.  But it wouldn't be good to not see them coming around a corner on a bike or in a car.

It's funny how animals know these things. Makes you wonder if they can read the "No Hunting" signs. :confused5:

You got that right. One of the reasons I don't ride often at night is because of the big four-legged critters that can jump out at you or be just around a blind curve. :nervous:

Night around here isn't the issue as much as dusk, the hours just before and after sunset is when these beasts are moving the most.

They're protected in PA.  The herd is nearly tame.  I've been there several times.  One time I saw a bull elk walked into a guys driveway while he was working on his pickup.  It layed down about 20 feet away and he just kept working.  Even the dog ignored it.  There are a few permits issued each year by a lottery.

Five months ago on the 19th of November I started this thread never suspecting that I would be posting a pic of snow from April 19th.

We should have been golfing Saturday but instead we were watching the snow.

it was 70 degrees here a week ago but it snowed Saturday morning. :nixweiss:  Global warming?

I'm finally on the opposite end of the spectrum.  We broke an all time high Saturday by 7 degrees when it hit 87.  I passed an SE Nanner coming toward me on Saturday morning.  I get all excited when I see another Screamin' Eagle.  I don't see them that often.  Good luck with the weather, keep the faith!

Last week it was 78* one day, snowed the next afternoon, and was back in the 60's the next day! Spring is the wackiest season in Colorado!
