Setting clock on 08 SEUC
« on: November 21, 2007, 12:23:53 AM »

I can't figure out how to adjust the clock for daylight savings time. My car has xm and it adjusted automatically. Is there a setting or something that I'm missing?

I just did it on HogBreath's bike a couple weeks ago.  There was a "DST" setting top left on the settings screen.  You had to manually take it from daylight to standard.

I pushed the "set" soft button, I see the DST and time zone displayed, but none of the buttons do anything, except take me back to the clock display.  I looked in the manual and it shows a totally different screen.  Any help?

With the radio powered off, hit button #6 then hit button #1, hit #1 again to change between DST on and off.

exactly, and nothing happens!

Switch on accessory.  Radio off.  Just the time showing, and "set" by button 6.
Push 6 and get the next display.  Button 1 says "DST".  Push it once, nothing happens, twice nothing happens, same display.  Display also indicates I can press the up and down arrows to change time zones, but nothing happens when I press them, either.  Only button that works is button 6 (return).

It's like the time is locked in.  All the buttons work on other screens (i.e. radio buttons).

I'm thinking it's a service issue, next time it goes in.

[/quote]Afraid so, sounds like somethings wrong. Wonder if you tried to do a firmware update to radio :nixweiss:(don't know how to do that though, but I've heard about it somewhere)              Good luck

Checked the software version, and it was current.  Did the upgrade anyway and the time is now correct.  The time set screen changed from showing DST and time zone, to hour and minute +- settings, as indicated in the manual.  Don't know what that means, but I checked all the functions, xm, nav, cd, radio, and all seem to work.

Here it is the radio software upgrade link, in case anybody else needs it:

I can't get the update to work. It just says, "Verifying DSP files".

Any help?
I made the CD just as the instructions said.

On my 08 the DST got stuck. To get the radio to work again I had to pull the radio fuse and then hold the power on button for at least ten seconds. Then reinstall fuse and turn radio on. This discharges the radio and allows it to reset. I saw this somewhere else and it worked for me.

Crud, pull the seat again?
Yeah, I replaced the battery yesterday and things haven't been the same.
Thanks.

I found the fuses under the left cover, those didn't work.
Thanks.

Maybe I don't need a clock for a while.  ;D

Finally I got the clock controls back. Took the 3 fuses for the radio/amp out, waited 40 minutes and put them back in.
Never did get the software upgrade to work and when it reset, luckily, there was no DST.

With the radio powered off, hit button #6 then hit button #1, hit #1 again to change between DST on and off.

Instead of toggling using #1 and #2, try using COM softkey.
