Have oil leak. Should I go ahead & rebuild?
« on: November 22, 2007, 07:13:59 PM »

Well, now that I have the dreaded oil leak, would it help  ;) to go ahead and make it bigger? I know when I did the upgrade on my 96 to a 103, they changed out the jugs but not the heads. Is there a bolt on for the 110? I am thinking there is. I can't see where this would solve anything though now that I am writing this as it will be the same heads. But maybe it would with different cylinders.

Any thoughts?

To go from a 96" to 110" would require the cases be bored to accept the bigger cylinder.  If you have a 103 you can go the same route boring the cases and get 113".  Or you could just get a Jim's 120" or 131". :)

Sorry to have been so confusing with my post  :D I have a bad habit sometimes thinking everyone can just read my mind!  The 96 to 103 rebuild was on my stock Road Glide. This leak and question pertains to my SECUSE2 Smurf with the 110. Thanks again!
