Thanks d00d, she's used to it, and good about it. She always (reluctantly) helps me find my stuff! :o ::)

One call to Jenny took care of the cables. Thanks. ;)

In all fairness to the Moco, you can buy an updated disk at anytime for about $15.  Now some dealers either don't know they can order it or won't order it but it is available at all the online dealers.  32117-01J is the current version.

The latest version of the CD is PN 32117-01L

We thought we needed it to access the ECM when we were making changes. Joe wants to keep it anyway, for that purpose now. He said he'd get a good tune from the SERT, and really fine tune it then with the PC. He said he'd have access to all parameters, and real-time tuning that way. It'll be a good backup too, if the PC fails. ;)

This looks like the right place to ask this question regarding a SERT. I bought a SERT when I had my 06 SE but traded it for an 07 before I installed it. Question is will the SERT for an 06 work on an 07?

I don't know of a reason why it would not work, provided you did not match it to another ECM.  You will want to get the latest software though to ensure you have all the latest updates to the ECM.   One example would be for the Auto Compression Releases.   They werent in the 06 software and would be needed for say an Ultra or another bike that was upgraded to a 110 and is using them as one example.   07 maps would be another reason to get the update.

RK:

As Unbalanced has noted if you never uploaded a map to the '06 using that SERT, then it will work fine with the '07.  Just get a copy of the latest software, p/n 32117-01N; about $20.00 at your local Dealer.

Thanks guys. I will order an updated disc today. It looks like this may be the only way to cool off this 110 and maybe prevent the dreaded head gasket leak.

Had my sert install at local dealer.  Can you save this file if I hook up to it at home( have program and update loaded on laptop) or do I need a copy of the download he tuned????  Remember seeing that you can't save the setting that comes on the bike didn't know if I can save the tune-up or would need a copy.

I used my sert that I bought for my 06( never installed on 06)  on my 07 bought the update for 19.95.

You cannot download the map that is currently in your ECM.  Your tuner should have given you a diskette or cd-rom with the file he made in his computer and uploaded to your ECM.  You'll have to get the file from him.
