call me spoiled, but I like riding in 32 degree and above weather.
grips went out, not the fuse, dealer service tech said that the new internal wiring is a bitch to fix, also the heated grips have been an issue with another 08 SEUC.
I'll keep you posted

Mine on my 07 SE Ultra went out while on a ride at 29 degrees doing 70 MPH on a freeway with 90 miles to go.  The bike has been sitting at the dealer for two weeks while the left side grip is on order.  At first I could get a little heat all the way on setting six then they went cold. pissed.  :veryangry:

Same here. Mine went out at the beginning of a 250 mile ride at 37 degrees. I was heading to DC on business, so couldn't turn around and cage it.

Sense HD is and has been having these problems you would think they would be doing something about it and fix them all.   :soapbox:

If you hold your breath waiting on the MOCO to find a fix for these grips, you'll just turn blue and die.  I hate to sound so cynical, but that is just the way it is.  They are under warranty, so just make 'em fix them, or replace the things with something that works like the Heat Demons.  Maybe if you get a new set, these will work for a while...some do, most don't.

I've had way to many problems with this Harley.  It seems as if its been in the shop as much as it has been here in the garage.  Its a real shame to, my other Harleys never had the issues this bike has had.  I think I really miss my 03 black Ultra.   :soapbox:

08 SEUC right heated grip went after 30 days (back ordered 2wks +) came in yesterday while put on next week.  Maybe the delay was caused due retooling to fix the problem!!

The HD shop got the replacement left side grip in yesterday and I rode it today what a joke, the high setting (6) the grips are just Luke warm and if I put them at the midway point they go cold, I give up.   Is there a relay on these grips someplace that could be causing the issue.  I'm also thinking of just gong after market with a different setup.   >:(

Same here with the heated grips, didn't have the bike 2 weeks and they went out. The seat was a different story. It was never plugged in out of the crate. After taking the bike in for rear gasket oil leak and to get the grips working, they found the seat unplugged and now it works fine but they can't tell my why the grips will not work and as I'm typing this are on back order. Rear gasket still leaks and will be replaced again when the grips come in.   "BIG SIGH"

Never had the H-D grips, but from my time on this forum I think you've hit on the magic cure all.... Go after market or keep getting stock grips replaced under warranty.

There was a thread or two on a Heat Demon group buy. I'll keep replacing the stock ones until it will cost me money, then I'll put in something that works.

I want to ride my bike not leave it in the shop for weeks on end waiting for another set to come in.  I bought heated gloves so I'll just use them for now.  There is a aftermarket set that inserts into the inside of the bars and a couple guys I know have them, so far the report is excellent and the price was $99.00
