SE Saddlebag Guard?
« on: December 01, 2007, 08:57:36 AM »

Does anyone make saddlebag guards that show off instead of cover up the Screaming Eagle paint on the saddlebags? oN MY 06 Ulta Classic I had guards and would like to add them to my 08 SE UC.

The ones that came stock on '04 and '05 SEEGs are about as bare as it gets, offering support only.  Shows off the bag for sure, but many of us converted to the style you have for at least some protection in the event of a tip-over.  Pretty sure they list these in the P&A catalog, but if not and this is what you're interested in, I can get you the part numbers.

the only bad thing about either guards is that you will lose the cover that sits between the bag and rear fender, now if someone could fix it so you could keep both I would be interested, but for now i will just be careful not to tip her..........

I installed the nostalgic saddle bag guards on my 08 SEUC.  I replaced the fillers between the saddelbags and the rear fender with part number 45896-98.  These are slotted at the bottom to allow for the saddlebag guards to fit.  You can also get these in chrome, which is a little cheaper that the painted options. :2vrolijk_21:

I have a set of the slotted fillers which are painted black.  Used them on my '06 SE melon and looked really good.  PM me if interested in buying.
