I have been in the Marine Corps for 23 years and just got promoted to Master Gunnery Sargent today.  If someone would said that would have happened 23 years ago I would have said they were crazy.  My family come down since I cannot get promoted again.  Now I alway buy myself something when I get promoted so I am thinking another Harley but the wife is not feeling it.  She says we don't need no more bikes in the garage.  I have to work on her, or just get one anyway.  Who knows?

Jamey got his BnB SEEG at the end of '03 for his promotion to Sergeant Major.  He also, like you, is truly blessed to make it through all the muck and mire to arrive at this position.  Not many make it. So Many Congratulations to you.  And if it helps any, I was very supportive of his getting the SEEG for his accomplishments.  I mean, what better time in your life to reward yourself?   

Course it helps our family a lot that he bought me a SEEG like his a year later.  We love these bikes.   

Now, three years later, he is retiring.  There is truly light at the end of the tunnel.

Congrats, one of the men I looked up to the most as an FNG in the USN was a Top that I worked for. I had more respect for that man than almost any other. It's quite an accomplishment for you and ALOT of personal sacrifice, I know. Looks like I owe you a beer (or 2) shall we ever meet. Congats again, and God Bless!!
