Yes, I agree that this may be a good, but selective, way to let the MoCo and any dealer that is not stepping up to the customer service plate, that the repercussions of their choices and decisions cause much bigger ripples than just alienating "ONE. "

Mobe would be one of these and 2Deuces as well. Please give me a day to go over the letter to, as twolanerider so eloquently stated, make sure that they can't just shrug off the letters since one thing is wrong. Shrug is what they have been doing. They do act on some things, but the final fit and finish on my bike has certainly not been addressed. The dealership did get me a new fairing, at their expense, but not until after they basically accused me of having an accident with my bike, which I did not have, and I exploded when they asked if I was prepared to pay for a replacement of broken part, that I did not feel I should have to pay for.

Wow, this actually may be more impressive than 40-50 of my favorite and "smelly friends all riding up like a posse" to the shop.  Twolanerider, again, thank you, I am so humbly impressed for the thought and all, thank you for being willing to help me in my struggle. I am not a shy wallflower type, but I am not heard in the dealership. They smile and nod..... but, the comprehension for what I am and have asked for is not really there.

Thank you again, and please give me a bit of review time on this, and I will be thankful for the support.  It is like a group service report.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I agree with Brother HUBBARD that the letter should be sent to the Owner of the Dealership, however I think that it should also be sent to the GM and THATS IT at this point.

No Dealer or GM wishes to have an unhappy customer no matter whether they bought a CVO or a Buell BLAST! I strongly believe the letter will be received in the spirit it was intended only if we exclude the MoCo at this point.

As someone who has sat on the opposite site of the desk, there is strength in numbers and without it, often times matters go undressed.

I understand the concerns from We's prespective, however when a contract is broken, there needs to be resolution.

In most cases, all a buyer wants is what is fair, just and part of the agreement.  That is certainly the case here.

Not to mention, when matters go unknown, how can they be resolved in the future and for others.

Shrader, do I remember correctly that you're inhouse in a dealership already?  If not sorry for sticking you someplace you're not.  If so, however, you better than anyone here would have a better insight in to how a dealership works with or might hope to avoid a call from corporate on a customer service issue.  In some businesses it's effective and in some it's not.

The biggest reason I didn't see any value to putting it off in this particular instance was that I believe the WeCvo's have already been there.  I think HD was contacted when some damage was done to her fairing while in the hands of the dealership previously.  Since corporate customer service had already been in the process there seemed little advantage to not maintaining that level of contact.

Two Lane, you do have a way with words....very well put...and in this beginning phase, I agree with Shrader on just sending to the owner. If he or they are stand up people, they will take this very seriously. I'm in also.

Great letter Don.  If I were sitting in Jim McCaslin or Willie G's shoes I would be taking note of this.

Mrs. We is looking at a draft with revisions she'd suggested and some tweaking to correct "first draft typing while eating" types of mistakes yesterday.  If the We's approve and want it done we can print and send copies to the shop and HD thereafter.  Addresses to put on the envelopes will be the dealership address you'll be able to cut and paste from the top of the letter and a courtesy copy (CC) address that can be cut and pasted from the bottom.

Brian, can't tell you that some kind of familial response doesn't seem worthwhile whenever someone is getting hosed.

Alright everyone, there is a new thread titled "Helping the WeCVO's; part deux" with a final draft of the note in a form Mrs We has looked over, corrected and said was ok.
