If it's for race applications only then it would have come standard on the red bikes.

Right red owners?

Red bikes are so hot you could put a baggy over the air inlet and run uphill with a loaded tour pak and still beat anything else running on a level grade with a horse jockey for a rider.  (couldn't you?)

I think we all learned in grade school that an ORANGE flame is hotter than a red one.

As a great man I know would say... "end of lesson" [smiley=laugh.gif]

I too like the look of the SEFB air cleaner.  So much so that I went to the Henderson, NV dealer to inquire about getting it.  I was hoping they wouldn't ask if I had a SEFB, and they didn't.  Although I paid for the air cleaner, adapter, and the insert and the dealer placed the order, I'll have to wait the week or so to see if it really comes in.

Elvis,

On a parts break out list for the SEFB air cleaner, the HD tech said I should also get the adapter.  I may not need it since I already have a stage 1 installed.  I guess I'll find out in a week or so.

I too liked the look of the SEFB air cleaner, so I bought it and all of the associated parts and put it on. It looked great,,,,,,,,,,but,,,,,,,it sticks out about 3/4 to 1" more than the stock air cleaner and rubs my leg right where the seam on my blue jeans is, irritating the hell out of me. So now it is in a box in the attic and the stock air cleaner cover is back on the bike.
By the way a blue flame is hotter than orange or red. I don't know what the hell a green flame means except that maybe magnesium is burning.  [smiley=drink.gif]

Mobe....I missed you during the NC "tour".

I wanted to show you the paint change I did on my Green.

Elvis - The adapter on the SEFB cover is a black insert that fits over the backing plate that's kinda molded to ensure the Teardrop cover fits tightly...

Yo Phattey,
Didn't get one with mine.  Maybe thats the too restrictive thing you mentioned?  Just bolted mine on, so far no problems.

Don't need no steenkin adapter. [smiley=7.gif]

Elvis....now you've got me thinking about that adapter not being used and if it'll open up some air flow....

I just can't picture it right now, cause I've had it off and in a box for quite a while...I'll have to dig it out tonight and look it over...

Hmmm...If it does open it up more...and it'll go on with out the adpater....It's going back on... [smiley=6.gif]
