There is no way for the general public to know how many CVO bikes are sold into the US Market, only the MoCo knows the actual or estimated numbers. Figure this though, you own a rare production bike, it is probably the last Springer that HD will make and the Springer family of bikes is going out in grand style. I bought the Inferno Orange CVO Springer because when I first saw it, the first thought that came to my mind was "bitchin" - and every time I look at it now I still have the same thought. I love to ride this bike, it is simply a blast to ride and it turns heads wherever I go. I love the feel of the acceleration and it is my hot rod. As far as the numbers go, there are more anniversary colors of each model than the estimated numbers of the other colors offered...and they are all rare production bikes. This year, the MoCo made changes to how the CVO bikes were distributed so they would become "more special" and not every dealer would have the ability to order the colors or quantity or type of CVO bikes that they received to sell. In addition, the MoCo cut production numbers since the slow down, but there is not any information available to the general public regarding if the CVO bike production numbers are affected. I know that I had to search the dealer network to find my CVO Springer and it took me a few months to locate it. Others have been more fortunate and were able to buy their CVO bike off the showroom floor. Give your CVO Springer a few months of ownership and it is sure to become more rare as it takes on your personality and becomes your "custom" CVO Springer and the number of models sold into the US market will become an afterthought since your's will undoubtedly become 1 of a kind.
