Oh yeah, that must be it! It's the meds! WHEW! I was gettin skeered!  :nervous: Deep breaths....it's going to be ok...

Seriously Binx.  It's got to be the meds.   Nothing else would account for such aberrant behavior.  Unless.... well, you haven't hit him in the head again have you :nixweiss: ?

Maybe you should hit em in the head and see if that helps. Might help Howie too.  :)

Well,

The Dead Center fairing seems to be well constructed according to many posts.  Perhaps even the better(arguably) of all options for a convertible fairing on a SERK.  Easy on.  Easy off.  Lockable.  Solid performance from the Polk Audio speakers.  Painted to match Cybil (huge bonus).  The question I have to ask:  How does it do at 120+ mph?  :nixweiss:

Well it was in the low teens this morning when we went to have coffee out in the hot tub, but I did not read on the news that hell froze over.   What is happening here?  I thought I had received a few shots and arrows from the Hoist quiver about the type of bike I ride having a front fairing on it.  I am sure a couple of those slings still sting.

We have a lot of friends who have these and they are great. Would love it if mine was removable for some of those Oh My Goodness It is HOT out there days.  But what we have seen is that for most that put them on, they seldom take them off.  But, of course, they may be a week or two older than you. Not months or years or anything, so I guess, only time will tell.

Thanks for everyone's responses. But due to the complications of setting up a sound system for both the "fairing radio" and the 2 amps I already have to hook up to the Zumo, it does not appear this will work out. I fail to see any benefit (besides a cigarette lighter) that this fairing will provide, any more than a Full-sized Windshield will. Plus, like Craig said, how well will this hold up at 120! ::)

Unless I'm made an offer I can't refuse, Hoist will remain "fairingless"! ;)

Oh I forgot to say in the safety and protection of your lovely bride ------ a front fairing does offer the passenger some protection, the driver a lot of protection from flying rocks, bit bugs, sand and other road debris that the windshield just can't provide the same.

But if your deal if falling through and you don't get the fairing, you can stick to your original story that you will nver be a fd guy.  hee hee!

That is obvious of course.  If you had a chance to get a steal of a deal, you'd love it for the times you choose to use it.  Cold, rainy, long trips and stuff like that.  I love riding my Road King when it is HOT outside.  It is much cooler.

Much better coverage the the RK windshield.  Cleaner wind.
No shakes at crusing speed....(90)  No noticable shakes passing things at 90+.  Cigar stays lit at 90.

I am just going to chase speaker wire from the aux amp in front to the tp speakers in back.
Hope to have the TP tommaorrow, the dang white pearls for the paint were $80!

Lighting will come from the back end connectors and be quick disconnect.  Let me know if you need any connectors, I bought a whole friggin kit from nams custon full o amp connectors.

It is ok not to like fairings....none of your other bikes have em do they?  This SERK is the only bike I have with a fairing, the other don't even have windshields

Thanks Mike. No, none of my bikes have fairings. I had a '98 EG and didn't care for a fairing bike. That's why it's not a "must have" for me. By getting a complete sound system with the Zumo and amps/speakers, I don't see much use for the fairing.

Let me know what you wind up doing to wire the TP. I'll have a HW amp, TP LED Spoiler, and interior TP LED light, that I'll need to make "detachable". So I'll need some Deutsch connectors for this. Can't wait to see the KTP on your bike! :2vrolijk_21:

That's right Candy! You FD guys KILL me! ::) ;D
