Hey twincam, I gotta pair that were on my scoot prior to the engine work.  I "could" modify them to fit around the CRs, but then opening the CRs would be a PITA with gloves on............plus, I like the way it looks now with the CRs.  Do you want mine?

Maybe the heat has discolored the head a little over time and maybe the cover would catch up.  :nixweiss:

I've got them on the 05 and 06 and they're a close match.  I looked online for them for the 08 and didn't see them in the new granite color, does anyone know if they're available or not?

Not that it matters for the color issue, but my understanding is that you shouldn't use them on bikes with the lowers on.  I assume for cooling reasons.  Anyone familiar with that?

Unless HD has changed the spec that is a (seemingly) odd thing they do.  There is that "don't install with lowers" warning on the chrome version of this part.  On the black or the silver straight finned bridges, however, the same disclaimer is not applied.

Melting point for chromium is 1907 degrees C.

So far the MoCo has not made an engine that hot, but it appears they are working on it.
