Don,
Great job. :2vrolijk_21: Make sure you get pics of her when she first lays eyes on it.

Speaking of pictures lets fast forward to this time next year after she's had some time riding this four wheeler. Conversation will go like this....

Uncle Donny, what mods are we going to do to the bike this winter? Should we go for chrome, or do we want to do some engine mods? Maybe powder coat the engine/tranny pink if we do engine mods? :nixweiss: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

oooooooh, there's a decent powder coater here in town for anything short of engine parts.  Before Tuesday would be tough though.  Might have to go with D00d's plan and let her take a year to learn about mods and upgrades....

The big kids around where we live, get graders and front end loaders out in the power line and make mountains and holes and they ride those ATVs very fast, jumping and leaping around, and of course the sub-sequential pounding down on the fall.  They sure look like they are having a good time.  They are good about wearing their helmets, knee and elbow pads.  A couple of them are racing at the State level, so they are having fun, but taking it seriously too.  Most started just like your niece.

Looks great, she will love it.

Don-

I would modify it the way you want it as Parker will want a bigger one next Christmas and you'll be relegated to this one.  Hope you like pink.   :)

Bob, she reaches everything on this one now.  But barely. Full deflection on the bars will be a stretch for another few months.  The guy at the motox store said this size unit gets commonly used by kids from 5-6 in to their early teens.  And it goes plenty quick.  So I'm hoping that unless she just graduates to two wheels or loses interest entirely it's a toy with a few years' staying power.  I've ridden the little thing (it dumped me already) but I look a wee bit out of proportion to the machine.  It's kind of like a camo pink tick with real quiet exhaust under a bear's ass.

Candy, if this gets played with a lot and the experience level gets to a greater point we're lucky in that there is a "track" just a couple miles outside of town built for that.  Kids with dirt bikes and ATVs are out there whenever the weather is good.

If the kid plays it with this winter and spring I'll take her out there sometime late spring to watch.  Would then later bring her and the bike out for their open amateur hours that have some speed limitations and let her play.  In the interim it's the grandma's three acre yard :2vrolijk_21: .

Now that's a visual that I didn't need so early in the morning. :nervous: :huepfenlol2:
