2007 SE Ultra Classic CB Radio in the UK
« on: December 26, 2007, 03:13:07 PM »

Hi guys,

I had my new machine for a couple of weeks now and I have got the hang of most of the gadgets and features, one thing I don't know about though is the CB radio.

Its a UK spec FLHTCUSE2, so what spec CB do I have? The dealer did not give me the Sat Nav book when I collected the bike and I only found out about that as it is mentioned in the owners guide, they then posted that to me after I called. Should I have a CB booklet as well?

Any information from UK or EU owners would be really welcome.

Cheers,

Kevin

No booklet for CB or Radio.
All informations are in the owners guide.

Concerning the Nav, you've the informations in the specific guide.

Hi Jacques,

So is your CB radio a EU specification or US?

Do you know what frequencies it runs on?

i recall some of the first 06 CVO's that went to Europe were configured as US cb frequencies 2 CVO's could talk to each other but to non CVO bikes... ever i remember it can be reset by a dealer if its wrong

No, that wasn't the problem Naitram.  (remember we are on FM not AM over here).  And it wasn't CVOs alone, it was every 06 with the HK radio! It needed a few firmware upgrades to solve that one!

Nearly!  The dealers took the usual MoCo standpoint - "Problem?  We don't know of any problem!" and I was dealing direct with a nioce guy at Harman Becker to get it fixed - eventually. (Took a year, at which time the dealers were still giving out the  "Problem?  We don't know of any problem!" )

Hi Jim,

It was not until I has done the hi-fi upgrade that I could even set the time on the Sat Nav, the only option was Eastern time zone, now all OK after the web update. Thanks again,

Kev

(what problem were you encountering?)

When the HK radios came out (06 models) the CBs could communicate with other HKs, but not with the older (Radiosound) models. (Or anyone else for that matter!)
