My husband has the DnD FC and they are great.  I have ruined my VH propipe.  If I get new pipes, I'd love to consier the FC, but they seem to have a slight curve out, just under the right thigh.  Does anyone a bit shorter in stature have that same problem?

Candy,

You are right, the rear head pipe comes out a little further.  Does your leg contact the pipe or are you concerned about the heat off the pipe?

Hey 2Lane, what made you choose the D&D Fatcat?

Was a few reasons Tony.  Though it was a hard choice for me to go away from true duals after so many years using them and loving the look.

The exhaust on the bike now I really don't care for.  Have some engine work coming up presently so making the exhaust change as part of that job to finish everything all at once.  Didn't care at all about top number and high end.  Only interested in earlier the better and torque down low.  With those factors in mind the 2-1 Fatcats researched to be a good choice.  Throw in the availability of the product with its "quiet baffle" and all my concerns/interests were being met.

I've only ever ridden Jamey's bike once since he put the DnD FCs on it.  That time, I had to be extremely careful how I sat on the bike to not burn my leg/inner thigh and to put both feet down ---- the way I do, almost impossible without burning, and certainly could not sit that way.  If that is just the way it is, I guess I'm looking for something else.  Thanks Pete.

Wish I could recommend the Rinehart 2:1 as they would cure the leg issue, but they are too big a pipe for a 103 and the quality is suspect in my opinion.  I was thinking of the kuryakyn under saddle heat shields and floorboard extenders to keep your leg off that pipe.

I am pretty happy with my Rinehart 2-1.  The quality seems excellent.  The sound of the pipe gets many compliments as well.  In my opinion, it is the best looking of all of the 2-1 exhaust systems for a bagger.  The big 5" muffler looks very tough out the back.

I'm not sure what the previous poster meant when he said that it is too big for a 103".  Having said all of this, there may be a slightly better performer, but probably not enough to make a difference unless you are comparing dyno sheets.

I've been running Propipes on ALL my bikes over the years, with my SSEG no exception. When I first met up with the CVO folks, only several of us used 2-1 pipes. I really liked the look of the duals and everyones bikes seemed pretty quick and looked great. Of course you always want what you don't have....so I just installed a set of V&H true dual big shots with quiet baffles after going through my 2nd Propipe on the bike. No issues with V&H, just blued really bad after a while of running at high speeds. Dosen't seem to cool like duals do. Anyway...

Dealer retuned Power Commander then I showed up at dealer for delight and goodness...!! Pipes looked crazy good...I like the smaller muffler and the lines were nice and clean now. I was finally in the club...yippy!!

Opps, BIG opps...power fell way off....I lost 12 HP and 11ftlbs!! Aurguably these pipes aren't the best on the market, but to lose that much isn't just refelcted on paper, I felt it driving home.

My tuner is decent, could've got more I'm sure, but moral of the story for me is go back to what I seek - performance. All the CVO SSEG's look so good with duals and I'm there, but I'll go back to the new V&H BP ProPipe which dosen't blue after I bang these up a little.

Don are you getting the ghost pipe for youre D&D, or are you going with the natural look of a 2-1..??

Hope things are going well for all of you and happy new year...!!!

Hey there stranger, Happy New Year to you and Wendy too.  Jamey has the DnDs and the ghost pipe. It looks great.  I still have the VHPropipe, but it is ruined ------ all the chrome is off the megaphone part and it looks very bad.  Jamey is looking into getting a new one then ceramic coated, or even possibly getting the old one coated.  The 2into1 is great, as you well know.

Are you guys going to go to the MV Gathering in Sept?  Or to Sedonna in May?  Or to York in April?   :huepfenjump3:

Miss you.   :cherry:

I have an o7 110" CVO and went with the D&D Fatcats with performance baffle with 10:3 compression & 575 HQ cams. Great pipe. Had the V&H on my o4 high compression motor with no issues but the D&D does pull better.

Just some feedback on D&D FatCat 2:1.

I have had mine over a year. Loud as hell but zero problems with the manufacture or chrome.

I would recommend the D&D FatCat.
