What's the new rate?  I got 5 something from HD finance and was happy with it.

http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/Content/Pages/2008_Motorcycles/105th_models.jsp?locale=en_US

It say's 105 editions, so I don't see why the CVO Duracell would be excluded.

1.05% would be cool.

Cheers,

So they have a different interest rate for cvo than regular bikes, why do I sound surprised.

I guess they figure if you have all that money to spend on a bike with as many problems as the 110's have been having, you don't care about interest rates either!  ;D

Just a hunch....
Ive been told CVOs dont count agains the dealers for inventory vs quota or whatever the term is....  so.....  much like the 'special " cars and trucks they dont get the "special" financing very often....

cuthbertss is probably correct, but if their not selling well, you'd think the dealers would be looking to HD to get some incentives for them. Dealers have to make payments on bikes sitting on the floor each month.

I was at a dealership in Winston-Salem a couple of weeks ago and they have a section of the floor set aside for Anniversay bikes.  They must have had 10 or 12 of them lined up...from an Ultra down to a wide glide....went into Richmond HD on Monday and they had three CVOs in anniversary colors, a Road King, Dyna and a Softail.  Would have looked cooled if they would have had a coppertop Ultra there lined up with them...

Bought my bike there, only because I knew the sales person and got a better deal. He quit working there, so I won't be buying another bike there. Maybe a few parts if I can't find them from a local independent shop!

I have had two friends quit working for them, the place hasn't been the same since it was John's back in the 80's, but that's true of many of the shops today. HD shops use to be owned by HD riders/enthusiast, now it's all about the dollars, many are car dealers just looking to cash in on the up swing HD has seen for the past 7-8 years.

I would think that most likely the dealers are taking some kind of financial loss offering that low of a rate, the CVO's (normally) don't sit to long in showrooms, and not all dealers get CVO's or either get very few. It's like the reason some dealers charge 3 - 5K over MSRP because someone will buy it. By them not offering the 1.05% interest on the CVO's for financing they are counting on somebody else to come along and buy it and not care about that rate. :nixweiss:
