My 06 SEUC came with faulty heated grips.  In fact, they would shock the hell out of you.  Had them replaced and they have worked fine ever since.

Don't let the marketing dept. of the MoCo find out about this.  They will advertise the bike coming with a built in defibrulator and want an extra $600 or so for the bike!  :P

Do you use any other 'heated' gear?  Just wondering what your take is on the jacket liners/vests/etc.???:nixweiss:  spyder

This is the first and only piece of heated gear that I own.  For the most part, my mid weight leather jacket with liner (FxRG) and chaps keep the rest of the package warm ;D  I just always had a problem keeping the ole fingers warm.  The gloves do it right.

That's great......I bought the handlebar grip heaters, but haven't installed due to pulling the wires in the already tight handlebars.......and starting thinking about heated gloves as a easier option.....which 'model' of their gloves did you get?  :nixweiss: thanks, spyder

I got the Gerbing G3's and tried twice to use them! Still haven't yet. Had them almost a year. I can't get used to that mess of wires, snaking them down your sleeves, Thermostats, and running around being attached to the bike! If you never had heated chit, and you're old school like me spyd, you might wanna get them grips going! I'm having a rough time with the gloves! ;)

Yeah, i'm kinda afraid of that, but I've managed to ride in crazy cold conditions in the past and got the ole 'frost-bite' or whatever you call it in my fingers and now it's like I just can't take it anymore.  My best gloves are not enough on the softtail (w/o a fairing to block some of the wind on the hands)  Not so bad on the Glide 'cause it really makes a big diff. blocking some of the cold air.....I've even tried stuffing those heat pacs in the tops of my gloves, but the finger tips really hurt.  What size are your gloves if you decide to unload 'um.  I've got small hands  .... 8 I think.  I'm like you, though, don't know if I could adapt to being wired to the bike w/  heat or helmet-phones or anything.  :nervous: har!  :drink: spyder
