Adjustable lowers
« on: April 01, 2005, 08:46:46 PM »

Anybody else having trouble with the lowers on their SEEG not staying where you put them ? Is there a cure ? Did the 04's have the adjustable lowers ? When I ride with the lowers in the full open position, they will creep shut after a while. I would hate to take it back in as a warranty issue, especially with the custom color. I don't see any adjustment to tighten it up. Just curious, I hadn't heard of anyone else talking about this subject on the forum.

I wish I had your problem.  I've got a '04 w/o the opening vents.  So I end up taking the entire lower fairings off for the summer months.  AAARRRRRGGGGGH.   [smiley=pirate.gif]

Magoo had that problem when he upgraded to the '05-style lowers on his pumpkin.  I think there is a way to adjust them.  I'm sure he'll be along to comment sometime soon.

There is an adjuster nut inside the glove box on eachside . Just turn it down one turn at a time and it will tighten up the ratchet.

Yeah, thanks for the link, Elvis.  I'm waiting 'till the Valley Gathering in hopes of seeing some installed.  I will just have to ride w/ the heat build-up until then.  I don't want to cut up my lowers until I'm confident that they're gonna look OK (to me)........ [smiley=confused5.gif]

Yeah, I wonder how Magoo got the new lowers painted to match the CVO orange?  Anyone seen/heard from Magoo lately?  Inquiring minds are wondering.   [smiley=confused.gif]
