You got that right!  Also, Thanks for your input on the fitment.  These bags are for a StreetGlide, and it took about five minutes to make the adjustments on the brackets.   I can't imagine why the parts guys tried to tell me that I needed all new hardware................... :nixweiss:   I reckon they thought that I fell off the turnip truck yesterday.

Hoist - I get my bags tomorrow from Gene. They're off a '03 RK, which I think you've said yours were. Am I going to run into any issues with fit? Thanks for any help. I've been waiting over 2 months, so I hope to throw them on as soon as I can rip the box open!

None at all. Just loosen the existing brackets til they can move freely. Do not remove them. Then install the hard bags in the normal manner, pivoting the bracket around until you can engage the spring clips. Keep the spring clips engaged while you tighten the bolts back up, and you're done! Can't wait to see 'em! :2vrolijk_21:

Isn't this just an Ultra with its lowers off?  ;D :D

Could have saved yourself a lot of time and just bought the geezerglide, like we all did!!

Sorry, just couldn't resist.

Bike looks great.

When are your bags supposed to be back home with you? I've got a set of bags out right now and just sent my KTP off to get painted last Monday. Not sure when my bags will be done, but it sounds like they're getting mighty close now -I hope!  ??? The KTP should be done in about 6 weeks or so... Post some pics when you get yours back!!  :)

If you have the bag guards installed pay close attention to where the bolt is at the forward bottom coupling.
When I added the bag guards I put the bags back on with the clips in the same position.

The bags hit the bolt, and I did not notice it for a week.

Maybe I got lucky with the repositioning of the brackets, but I did not have this issue, after putting the Hard Bags and Guards on my SERK3.
