Got  message toady from Mustang regarding seats for the 2008 SERK.  They indicated they will not be making a seat specifically for the SEs.  They seem to be unsure if their 2008 Road King model will fit the 08 SERK.  Does anyone know if anything changed with the tank or console from the regular Road King to the SERK?   Thanks

Don't know about the '08, but any '97-'07 RK seat fits the '07 SERK. I imagine any '08 RK seat will fit the '08 SERK, unless like you said, they changed the size of the console on the SERK. It's a different console on the '08 SERK, but I don't think it's a different size than a stock RK.

This doesn't exactly answer your question, but I thnk it's directly related. I bought a RK Sundowner seat for my 08 SERK and it fits like a glove. The Sundowner is designed for a standard RK, so the fact that it fits tells me that a standard 08 RK Mustang seat with fit an 08 SERK.

I am looking at the solo seat with back rest from Mustang and they said if the dash panel is not special or custom it should fit in an email to me. I have not mounted a solo on a roadking before where are the anchors/mounting points besides the tab? The stock seat mounts at the tab and a screw on the rear fender - thanks in advance

Unless things are different on the '08's, you will need to remove the mounting bracket for your stock backrest, the seat will bolt into the two holes in the fender vacated by the mounting bracket.  Your Mustang backrest mounts in the seat.  Below is a picture of mine.
