First ride of 2008
« on: January 09, 2008, 06:50:46 PM »

Took SirMikes (former) bike out for its first ride. One word... AWESOME! It will do 110 in 4th gear and is still pulling very hard! Its pretty cool to see how fast the speedo really travels. 40- 110 like right now. Still breking it in so no hard runs just yet. I have a few people to thank: Mike 1st, then harry for the ideas he put in Mikes head (good thing Mike listens) not like some nimrod like me. Also Woodstock Harley for the build. They hit it spot on the first time! Will keep you updated.

While I am doing this  :smilie_staub: You are out riding, must be nice!!  :sad2: :sad2:

Thanks for rubbing it in buddy ole pal!! :sauer021:

It sounded good when you left a 10-foot patch in my driveway!! :zroflmao: :zroflmao:

I told Tommy to go easy on it for alittle bit, cause it hasn't been out for about 2 months or more because of the weather, plus it still has alittle more to go on the break-in, just to be safe!! But, what does Tommy do, goes to pull out of my driveway and leaves a nice 10-foot good-bye patch!!  :stunned: :stunned: You know my nieghbors must of  loved that one!!  :argue:

When Tommy said that it goes from 40 to 110mph like nothing, that was probably before he got out of my nieghborhood!! :shocked2: :shocked2:

Well, it's all good, I'm glad it went to a good home, the bike only has about 1750 miles on it now, so I figure about 500 more miles and Tommy will need a new tire!! :laugh4:

                                                     Hope you enjoy it!! :2vrolijk_09:

                                                                                  Later,
                                                                                            MIKE :vrolijk_10:
Hey guys, goodluck with them CVO's
you'll need it!! Or at least 20-lengths!!
                      :zroflmao: :zroflmao: :zroflmao: :zroflmao:

Didn't go over 4000 rpm. Being nice to it. Short shifted all the way.

Yah right!! :stop:

The only time you short shifted, was when you did it by accident!! :inquisitive:

Got to ride for about 1/2 hour today. I realized this poor back tire doesn't have a chance! If it lasts 3000 miles That means I turned into a sissy.

yea, I had to pull the cover off and pound the pavement as well today, 40 deg not too bad. Its amazing how quickly we went from a winter wonderland to spring like conditions, hell it rained all week and we even had two tornado's touch down around popular grove on Monday, thats purdy strange for this time of year  :confused5:
I guess I'll go withe flow, put away the snowmobile and pull out the bike and repeat  :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

Only in Chicago land do we get this weather. I have a friend who lives near poplar grove and was slightly effected by the tornado's. I rode twice now in January. If the rain or snow holds off I might go out today.
