My Custom rider backrest
« on: January 10, 2008, 09:19:56 PM »

Might just be the most expensive backrest out there but sure makes the trips more enjoyable!!

Kim has no problem catching a few winks every now and then.

I have nudged her a few times and said, "you should see how beautiful this is!"
Her reply is usually, "Nice, where are we? When are we stopping?"
My usual reply is, "we still have a hours worth of gas, I'll wake you later."

Just missing the road already.................

When my son was about 10 years old, I would take him out for a ride and use a bungee cord to tie him down...I could always count on him to fall asleep when I took him for a ride. He has a Harley of his own now and fortunately doesn't catch any shut eye on the bike anymore.

That's funny!  My 11 year daughter has fallen asleep before.  She probably shouldn't have admitted that to my wife who invents things to worry about.....  She even worries about having to worry!

Donna fell asleep in the rain heading west to Hot springs.... :nervous: (We were on a Street Glide, there's not enough room for error to fall asleep on the back of the V-Rod.)

Suzanne falls asleep all the time on the back of the SEUC...thank the lord it has the arm rests...she lays back, so she doesn't bonk me with the helmet, though she did on the way to Hot Springs once.  She kinda wedges herself in back there with her elbows and hands.

I can monitor her sleeping by noticing the volume level on the rear headsets... ;)

I wish my wife would sleep, she always telling me how to ride, leaning into sharp turns before I do!

I had a friend riding his Goldwing, his wife fell asleep and started to slide off. He's not to big, don't know who he did it, but he grabbed her with one had holding the bars with the other, leaning to balance the bike and pulled her up! He said every time he tried to pull her the bike would vier because his other hand would pull on the bars. He of course pulled over, people behind him in cars pulled over, they couldn't believe he didn't crash, or she didn't fall off!

:nervous: :nervous:  I had Suzanne read a chapter out of "Total Control" by Lee Parks, before she became a BSR...she's good back there, only looking over the proper shoulder when we're in the twisties.  She only pokes me every once in a while when she thinks I'm going to fast...for some reason, that happens more often on the Vrod   :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

Terry a speeder?
No way.
When we rode behind him he always rode at the safest speed the road required to achieve a quality level of comfort and safety!
Right T/C?
