Kojak's Serk-New Mods

I believe I just about got this bike right for long distance touring.
WO518 bars with Ironsides heated grips.
Adjustable riders backrest (that puny stock one just didnt cut it).
Ofcourse the tallboy harley seat.
Riding this bike is like sitting in my easy chair!

I like the mirrors much better high like this. The turn signals look sweet on the new bars.

Nice job Casey! Looks like you've got your "Rolling Barcolounger" all set up! :2vrolijk_21:

Let me know how the grips work out. I went with the Gerbing heated gloves, but I'd rather have the heated grips. I just got scared by how many of themstop working though! :nixweiss:

Gary, I've had this seat on my glide for 3 years. Its great if you are between 5' 11" and 6' 4", so I got it for the SERK. The BSR's love the cushion, specially after about 3 hours!

Howie, a fast "Barcolounger"! :)I'm like you, I'll go and put 2500 miles on a bike in a week, so I've learned to modify a bike for no aches or pains for that kind of riding. As for heated grips, go for it! They can crap out (one on my old glide went bad after 4 years) but if you ride all year, its a great feature. Never tried heated gloves, in the old days I used to stuff "hot hands" in the gloves!

How are the WO518? The wife wants new handlebars but it is hard to choose. We are looking at 518, 508 and 517's. Are the 518's to wide or just right?

Just right for me. If you are going to change the seat also, do that first.  Bar, Seat, Pegs all work together.
