Had the same problem.  Pushed on fairing and squeaking stopped.  Took it in for service and local HD service folks advised they moved a wiring harness or bundle and all has been okay since (about 3 months ago and still no return of the problem).

The squeek on mine was coming from the switch cap rubbing at the top where it hooks up under the main fairing. I took some black pinstripe tape and put it around the top of the switch cap then reinstalled it. This acts as a gasket and has so far stopped the squeek.
